New Works: ACCV & Friends Exhibit, 2010

The Arts Council of the Conejo Valley, “The Voice of the Arts”, presents an art exhibit, New Works: ACCV & Friends, in The Galleria at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts from May 6- June 30, 2010. An Artists’ Reception will be Saturday, June 12th, from 4-6 pm, and is open to the public, free of charge. The Hillcrest Center is located at 403 W Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, 91360. Co-curators for the show are Thousand Oaks artists, Janet Amiri and Connie Tunick.

The fourteen participating artists in this invitational show are members and board members of the Arts Council of the Conejo Valley, “The Voice of the Arts.” Paintings of all media and sculptures will be included.

 

Among the exhibiting artists are Michael Lynn Adams, Janet Amiri, Juliette Chayet-Cole, Ann Mathias, Bob Noonan, and Connie Tunick, all of Thousand Oaks; Theodora Ilowitz of Newbury Park; Rich Brimer and Phyl Doyon of Camarillo; Judy Koenig from Simi Valley; and Westlake Village artists are Diane Darakjian, Gordon Durich, Kathrin Raab Questenberg, and Geri Schonberg.

The show can be viewed daily from 9 am until 5 pm. Admission is free.

Congratulations to the following adult students for their participation and their hard work.

VENTURA COUNTY FAIR 2009

A special congratulations to this years winners at the Ventura County Fair. I couldn’t be more thrilled or proud…..all the hard work has paid off!

Out of the eight students that participated, Studio 316 students garnered thirteen 1st place awards, three 2nd place awards, one 3rd place, two honorable mentions and had one piece nominated for BEST IN SHOW.

Again congratulations and thanks for ‘representing…’

“2009-And the Winner Is” Exhibit

The Arts Council of the Conejo Valley exhibit in The Galleria at the Hillcrest Center for The Arts is currently featuring six student-artworks chosen by Studio 316. It is a recognition of some the studio’s winners within the past two years.  The artist reception was held on Saturday, July 11th, 2009, featuring works by Karen Thorgusen, Sandy Barry, Ann Augustine, Brooke Dailey, Emma McNay, and Makenna Mandrell. The exhibit will be on display from July 11-September 29, 2009.

Ventura County Fair 2008…..and the winners are…..

A special congratulations to the participants at the Ventura County Fair from Studio 316!

This year’s fair marks the first time students of the studio have participated; several students won awards ranging from 1st through honorable mention with many students winning several awards.

Thanks to all for your participation and hard work….it paid off!!
