An Art Show at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts

The Arts Council of the Conejo Valley presents a new exhibit in The Galleria at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, 91360. The show’s title is “New Works: The Voice of the Arts”. Exhibition dates are June 8 through July 9, 2012. This invitational show has original and diverse pieces of art by twenty-three visual artists who are either board members of the Arts Council or valued participants who have made creative contributions to the arts in our community.

 

The Artists’ Reception and installation of the new Board of Directors of the Arts Council of the Conejo Valley will take place Saturday, June 23, 2012, 4-6 pm; the public is invited to this no-admission event, which includes entertainment by the acclaimed Ventura County Gilbert and Sullivan Repertory Company; a brief introduction of new officers for the Arts Council of the Conejo Valley, which operates The Galleria and its juried shows involving students and adults. You can view the gamut of visual art, from sketches and landscapes, to sculpture and mixed media.

 

Exhibiting artists in the June show are: Joni Arnel, Sheila Fein, and Helane Freeman, Agoura; Kristi Colell, Ron Counceller, and James Enriquez, Camarillo; Janet Amiri, Alex Cacciarelli, Juliette Chayet-Cole, Judith Crowe, Bob Noonan, Joy Sardisco, Carlos Scalise, Gary Talbot, and Connie Tunick, all of Thousand Oaks; Theodora Ilowitz, Newbury Park; Arthur Hernandez, Simi Valley; Jenna Elinson, Oak Park; Gordon Durich, Geri Schonberg, Barbara Welch, and Yoka Yohanna, Westlake Village; Elaine Unger, Santa Clarita.

This show can be viewed daily from 9 am until 5 pm at no charge.
