My teenage daughter has taken classes at Studio 316 for about a year. Her artistic skills have truly flourished under Bob’s guidance. Bob provides quality instruction in a calm, friendly manner. The relaxed studio atmosphere is great. Student artwork on display is amazing.

Bob is not only an excellent art teacher but a terrific person as well. My daughter has been taking classes with him for years both at Studio 316 and at his previous studio. He is patient, helpful when needed, but also knows when to let her do her work quietly and not interrupt which previous art teachers had done. Keira, who is almost 16, thinks the world of Bob and the studio as do I and her dad. Not enough superlatives for him, his teaching ability, and his support of our daughter.

I’ve been working with Bob Noonan, the owner of Studio, for many years. Bob is great at helping his students advance in whatever mediums they choose. He’s great at helping students understand key concepts related to drawing and painting. His adult classes offer the opportunity to work independently and the other adult students are friendly and supportive. Younger students also thrive there. I recommend this studio wholeheartedly!!

Bob Noonan is the best art teacher I have known. My experience with other instructors was rather negative and I no longer was interested in trying another art class until I met Bob.

He is supportive and always positive in his instruction. He wants the student’s end product to be good, yet he also wants the student to acquire proper technique so that the student can learn and grow as an artist.

He has the skills to teach to a wide variety of learners: adults, children, and persons with special needs are his specialty. Everyone is comfortable in this learning environment and it is always fun!

I cannot say enough about the excellent quality of my experience at Studio 316.

Ive been going to classes at this studio for a few months now. The instructor Bob is super cool, just to start. He has tought me many things when it comes to oil painting, such as tone, shape, how to mix colors, blending and probably so much more. Not only has he helped me but everyone that takes his class pumps out superb works from drawing to painting and from young kids to seniors. Its amazing the work that is produced in that studio. Hope you go and check it out for yourself. Cheers

WOW!  This place is a real find.  A place where kids (8 and up), teens and adults can enjoy learning and doing art.  The owner/teacher Bob is warm, friendly, encouraging and insightful… coaxing and directing clearly, with a light but skilled hand.  He knows his craft, and can help you discover and develop yours. Parents can stay and watch, or drop off and pick up after class.  You might, as we do, want to walk over to For Heaven’s Cakes for one of Lisa’ YUMMY $1 (!) cupcakes…but that’s another review 😉

My lil’ guy (8 year old) started going to him having never taken art classes before.   His (8 year old) friend had been producing amazing work under Bob’ tutelage, and her parents had been glowing about Bob.  They were right.  Bob scheduled him to come when some other younger boys were scheduled, so that he’d be comfortable.  But he isn’t distracted.  Each kid is focused on their own work.  It’s quiet and creative.  While another slightly older girl works on a startlingly deft painting,  my lil’ guy concentrates on his colored pencil drawing.  Now he tells me an hour isn’t enough — he wants to stay longer!

That’s the most telling testament to Bob’s style and substance.
