Robert J. Noonan Art Director
Art Instruction, Art Studio
Building a creative, comfortable environment for Studio 316 students has been a goal from the very beginning. After having taught in both loose and regimented programs, Robert Noonan of Studio 316 has always intended to offer its students more freedom in their choice of artistic direction, but not at their detriment either. While students may choose a medium and subject matter to explore and create, Studio 316 stresses the basics in drawing, tone and color at the same time. Studio 316 currently instructs drawing and painting to adults, teens, and children ages eight and up.
The studio has been involved with the Adult Therapeutic Unit at the Marview Center, instructing offsite classes held at the Marview Center with individuals with special needs through the Park and Recreation District since the businesses very beginning. Beginning and Intermediate Watercolor Classes are taught at Studio 316 with senior adults from the Goeble Senior Center.
Mediums covered but not limited to are; graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting. All levels of experience are welcome.
Robert Noonan received his B.A. in Art 2-d from California State Northridge in 1994 and is a member of the Arts Council of the Conejo Valley. Prior to opening Studio 316, Robert had instructed fine art to children, teens and adults at over 12 studio’s before going out on his own in 2007. Studio 316 opened it’s doors to the public in September 2007, and is located in Newbury Park. Noonan currently resides in Thousand Oaks with his wife, and two children.

My name is Emily, and I am interested in finding out more information about adult art classes offered at Studio 316. I am 33 years old, and looking for a creative outlet outside of work. I took art lessons as a child, and enjoyed this creative form of expression. I would love to hear about any evening classes you may have for adults.
A great studio to be creative with professional guidance. Bob Noonan provides very personal instruction in all mediums in small classes with one on one direction as you draw or paint your own subject while developing your own style.
